Collaboration Craftsmanship for Precision and Durability
The Kazoku x Takumi Ikeda V2C Santoku is a unique knife born from a collaboration between Kazoku and renowned craftsman Takumi Ikeda. Hot forged from Takefu V2C steel, a high-performance carbon steel with a hardness of 64 HRC, this knife offers exceptional durability and long-lasting sharpness. The hard core of the blade is sandwiched between two layers of softer carbon steel, known as "sanmai" construction, providing enhanced protection and added durability for extended use.
The knife’s blade features a striking dark kurouchi finish, which not only adds a sophisticated aesthetic but also offers practical protection against oxidation, ensuring the blade remains resistant to corrosion. The octagonal oak handle is ergonomically designed, providing a firm and comfortable grip that allows for superior control and ease of use during extended cutting tasks.
