The Kazoku Uteki Gyuto features a 21 cm blade made from premium Japanese VG10 steel, hardened to 60–61 HRC for remarkable sharpness and edge retention. The blade is sharpened to a 15° angle, offering clean, effortless cuts through meat, fish, vegetables, and fruit. A hand-applied tsuchime (hammered) finish enhances food release and gives the knife a distinctive, artisan look.
 
Handmade in Seki, Japan—renowned for centuries of knife-making heritage—this knife balances performance with tradition. The octagonal handle is crafted from warm rosewood and fitted with an ebony ferrule, designed for comfort, grip, and a refined, timeless appearance. The gentle taper of the handle ensures comfort during extended use.
